Client legal responsibility

The broadcaster is responsible for acquiring every permission required for the video, music, films, performances, graphics and other material transmitted or stored through the service. Rights can differ between live streams, recorded programmes and on-demand distribution.

Music inside video streams

A video production can involve several rights at the same time, including rights in the composition, sound recording and synchronization of music with pictures. Do not assume that permission to play a song on an audio station automatically covers its use in a video broadcast.

Takedowns and suspension

Copyright owners, automated protection systems, hosting providers or authorities may issue infringement notices. Streams or files can be muted, removed or suspended when valid notices are received or when platform rules require action.

Protect your broadcast

• Use content you own or have permission to distribute.
• Keep records of licences, releases and usage agreements.
• Understand the rules that apply in each target territory.
• Respond to compliance requests promptly.
