Connect a live video encoder
Get the RTMP details
Copy the channel server URL and unique stream key from VDO Panel.
Open OBS Stream settings
Choose Custom as the streaming service.
Paste the credentials
Enter the RTMP URL and stream key exactly as supplied.
Start streaming
Apply the settings, begin the stream and monitor the channel dashboard.
Audio encoder checks before going live
Confirm the correct input device, sample rate, codec and bitrate before connecting. A higher bitrate is not automatically better if the source connection is unstable or the package has a defined maximum. Keep the encoder computer on a reliable wired connection where possible and avoid saturating the upstream bandwidth with unrelated uploads.
Live DJ connection problems
If the encoder reports connection refused or authentication failed, recheck every supplied field. Icecast mount points, SHOUTcast stream IDs and DJ usernames can be case-sensitive or formatted differently between panels. If the credentials were recently changed, update the saved encoder profile before testing again.
OBS and RTMP troubleshooting
For video, verify the RTMP server URL and stream key, then confirm OBS Output settings. A bitrate that exceeds the available upload speed can cause dropped frames and unstable playback. Check the OBS statistics window for network or encoding warnings while testing.
Secure playback on websites
A live stream may work in a desktop media player but fail in an HTTPS website if the public stream URL is insecure. Use the secure endpoint supplied by the hosting service when embedding audio or video in a modern website.

Common connection problems
Connection refused?+
Check the address, port, mount, username and password exactly as displayed in the radio panel.
Audio clipping?+
Reduce the input level and confirm sample rate, codec and encoder bitrate.
Source keeps dropping?+
Test local upload stability, use Ethernet where possible and reduce bitrate if the connection is saturated.
OBS shows dropped frames?+
Check upload bandwidth, selected bitrate, encoder load and the correct RTMP destination.
Stream plays in VLC but not the website?+
Check whether the public website is HTTPS and make sure the embedded stream also uses a secure compatible URL.
